Los Angeles Travel Guide – ‘The City Of Angels’

  • The City of Angels is known for its uniquely gorgeous stretch of beaches, each with its own unique identity. Los Angeles is the second largest city in the United States of America and the largest city in California.
  • Los Angeles is well known for its famous movie stars, actors, musicians, surfers and endless traffic on end.
  • Santa Monica and Venice are the two well known areas among tourists to Los Angeles, they are both closer to the beach and have cheaper accommodation as compared to Hollywood.
  • If you are looking for things to do with the hot weather and beaches, then Los Angeles is the place to visit – for me Los Angeles is one of closest city to my heart and I fell in love with it.
  • Summers start early in May and run long, with some of the year’s hottest temperatures occurring in September and sometimes October. Daytime highs in summer are about 81F, and humidity is generally mild.
  • Los Angeles is well-known for its diverse and unique shopping traditions and destinations. Shopping malls will dominate your shopping trip as they are nearly inescapable in many of your destinations. For example, the Hollywood & Highland mall is a popular meeting point for those gazing at the Walk of Fame and Mann’s Chinese Theater.
  • Other significant malls frequented by tourists are the Grove (next to the Farmers’ Market), Westfield Century City, Westside Pavilion, and the Beverly Center, which is quite unlike other shopping malls as it is multilevel with a nice view of Los Angeles from its food court patio.
  • Los Angeles has no shortage of things to do and see, there are so many people that visit Los Angeles from different places around the world.
  • Highlights of LA go beyond the entertainment industry include the Getty Center, home to European and American art and extensive gardens.
  • Griffith Observatory has panoramic skyline views, while the Lakers and Clippers basketball teams play at Staples Center. In and around the city are notable beaches including Venice, complete with funky shops on a colorful boardwalk, and Santa Monica, whose pier offers rides and games.
  • Live music venues dot the billboard-lined Strip, a stretch of Sunset Boulevard running through the West Hollywood area. Beverly Hills is the site of the famously upscale shopping street Rodeo Drive.
